How do I watch films through YOURspace?

Just click on the Watch this film link and the YOURspace player will open in a new window. The film may take a short while to begin playing but should do so automatically. You can use the forward, backward and pause buttons as you would do with any other online video.

How do I find out more about a particular film?

Some of our featured films will give you the option to download additional material that accompanies the film, for example a presentation or publicity information. Supporting text will also be displayed on the player page along with details of who to contact for more information.

How do I comment on YOURspace?

Please let us know what you think, good or bad, by using our Online Form on the main council website.

You were previously screening a film but now I can't see it, where has it gone?

Films are periodically archived into the Video Vault. If it's not there, it may be that we had to remove it for one reason or another. Contact Us if you have a query.

Who decides what goes on YOURspace?

We gather films from a range of sources, from initiatives run by the Council, local community groups and associations. The Communications team then schedule films to complement current programmes and to tie in with the Council's corporate ambitions. We are happy to have a chat with you if you feel we are missing an important issue off YOURspace.

How can I send you my own film?

We would love to hear from you if you have a film that you would like to see on YOURspace. Contact Us for an informal chat.

I have been asked for a username and password, why is this?

Some computer networks (such as within companies) set restrictions on who can view media content. You may need to contact your IT department for assistance. If all else fails let us know and we will try and help.
